Pick of the Week: Seven Bro7ers & Kelloggs

28 January 2020 Caroline Sumners

This year we decided to launch a BRAND (get it!) new feature that focusses on ideas and innovations in design, packaging and the food and beverage industry. Ideas that are tapping into consumer demands and leading the way to help solve the issues that we all face. And ideas that frankly we love.

So this week we have not gone too far from home, and are taking inspiration from what’s happening now in helping to solve the issue of food waste.  So we have picked 2 companies that are leading the way when it comes to consumption and innovation. This week, pick of the week is the collaboration between fellow Mancunians Seven Bro7ers Brewery and Kelloggs to create a beer made from non-standard cereal pieces. Rather than waste the cereal pieces that are discarded in the manufacturing process we totally dig the idea that Kelloggs Corn Flakes are used to replace some of the wheat grain used in the beer-making process. Also being used are Coco Pops and Rice Krispies.

Go check it out. We might just pop down to Salford on the way home tonight and grab some for ourselves.
